Bailey had lived in several breeders homes before making her way into our lives at the age of 4. We had high hopes that Bailey was to be our next show dog. She had been previously shown in a past home and we were excited at the chance to get her back out and showing once again. However, when we finally had the chance to see Bailey in person we quickly realized she was in urgent need of health care and was in no state to be shown. Several months and many dollars later, we finally had a physically healthy dog. Her coat was growing back, her teeth were nice and clean, her urinary tract infection and female infection cleared up, her hormones were now normal, she was now spayed (come to find out after her spay she was pregnant with 12 puppies), no more mats/paint chunks, no long nails, her weight was normal again, and she acted and appeared to be feeling much better.

After getting her back to health, we soon realized that although Bailey was physically healthy again...she was unfortunately plagued with serious fear/anxiety/abnormal behaviors. After seeking out multiple Veterinarians, trainers, and behaviorists, trying several medications, and reading many books on k9 fear related issues...we were given no hope. We truly gave her are all, however it just wasn't enough. On November 15, 2005 we made the most difficult decision we have been faced with, and relieved Bailey of all her mental anquish.

You are finally at peace our sweet friend. Rest easy now.
